What I have learned this week....

This week was a week of learning, acknowledging, changing and growing for me. I finished the book The Four Agreements and have been trying to apply it to my life. Being molded for 38 years on how to be by our mentors, educators, parents, religion, and so on....it is a lot tougher that one may think.

I am glad that I have stopped taking things personally (agreement number 2). It made me confident enough to teach some members of my church how to do Zumba. Which, I may add, I have not taken a class on in months. I was a little rusty but everyone was so patient. And I love that even if they weren't, I know it isn't my problem.

If I can give one piece of advice tonight, it would be to stop taking things personally. Realize that when someone has a problem with us, it is actually a problem they have with themselves.

Resting and Cleansing Your Chakras

Today I missed church to sleep in. Although I feel amazing when I am surrounded by my friends at church, I felt that my body needed the rest. So far I have been blessed with health for over a year. No colds, no sinus infections, no sore throats, no stomach issues, nothing. Being in-tune with your body is a wonderful thing. I know when I need to rest and I listen. Naps are not my thing....mostly because I am too busy but also because sometimes they make me feel worse. So, I apt to go to bed earlier or set intentions of sleeping in the next morning. A great meditation which I learned at a spiritual empowerment meeting was a chakra cleansing. When our chakras are not working properly, we tend to feel stress and get sick. I love my healing touch therapist who balances me every other month. But I also like knowing that I can do this meditation on my own. Enjoy!
